Anthony Mbakwe is currently Managing Director of ArcelorMittal Projects Nigeria, a part of the ArcelorMittal Group. Prior to his current position he was at various time Regional Development Manager Sub Saharan Africa, at ArcelorMittal Projects Europe and Business Development Manager/Greenfield Projects Lead at ArcelorMittal Tubular Products, in The Netherlands and Luxembourg. He has also worked with the Norwegian Oil and Gas company, Statoil in Nigeria and Norway as a Senior Accountant and later Deepwater Licence Administrator.
Anthony holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from the Institute of Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, is a Chartered Accountant and graduate of Accouting from the University of Lagos, Akoka. In his free time he is an avid long distance runner and has completed 8 marathons, enjoys travelling, reading, mentoring youths and spending time with his family.
Ngozi Dozie is a Director and co-Founder of OneFi, Nigeria’s pioneer fin-tech lender and a Director of Kaizen Venture Partners.
Ngozi Dozie was an investment banker at JPMorgan assisting clients with mergers & acquisitions advisory and capital financing. Prior to JPMorgan, Ngozi worked with Arthur Andersen UK as a risk consultant, and Deloitte & Touche as a financial analyst.
Ngozi holds an MBA from the Wharton School and qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. He earned a First Class in Physics from Imperial College and an MSc in Computation from Oxford University.
Uzo Nwagwu is Integration Director, Sub Saharan Africa for Baker Hughes, a GE company. In this role, he is responsible for leading integration planning & execution in the region and critical in identifying both revenue and cost synergies across the full stream value chain which spans from the drilling of fossil fuels to gas monetization and power generation. Uzo is also accountable for integrating business processes, consolidating facilities for efficiency and driving a culture and team spirit work environment which leverages what is best in the two legacy companies with very rich heritages.
Uzo joined GE in October 2011 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – West Africa, and in 2015, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) - Sub Saharan Africa and was accountable for operational excellence, in-region project execution, Strategic Sourcing, HSE, Quality, Localization, and free cash flow optimization. Prior to GE, Uzo was at PricewaterhouseCoopers and then United Technologies Corporation (UTC), where his last role was as Finance Director of the Europe subsidiary of UTC Aerospace Systems.
A strong advocate for preserving culture and tradition, Uzo has co-developed and funded 2 educational documentary series; one which focuses on travel and Igbo culture, and the other which has a focus on contemporary issues affecting young people in Nigeria. The two programs are shown across 27 countries in Sub –Saharan Africa and being reviewed by some tertiary institutions as a teaching tool for local language and cultural education.
Uzo holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. A past president of AIESEC in Nigeria and an active alumnus, Uzo devotes time to mentorship of budding entrepreneurs. He occasionally teaches finance and strategy as part of the MBA curriculum at the Lagos Business School, Lagos Nigeria.
