• 17th Dec. 2018

Junior Achievement Nigeria (JAN) is part of Junior Achievement Worldwide, the world’s oldest and largest non-profit economic education organization operating in 120 countries. JAN is dedicated to empowering students on financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship through experimental, hands-on programs. Since JA started operations in Nigeria in the last quarter of 1999, and since then has reached over 888,480 students in over 2,000 schools in Lagos, Abuja, Plateau, Kaduna, Nassarawa, Uyo, Rivers, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Delta, Abia, Kano, Ogun, Bayelsa and Ondo States through over 4,000 volunteers and teachers. JA Nigeria is seeking to reach 1,000,000(one million) young people in Nigeria by the end of year 2020. In order to reach that number, JA Nigeria form strategic partnerships all around the country.

ANGUZ is partnering with JAN in Imo State to inspire and educate young people to become conscientious business leaders. We intend to achieve this by implementing economic education programs that develop attitudes and skills necessary for personal success and social responsibility.

The ANGUZ/JAN partnership in Imo State will deliver practical, experimental hands-on programs under the three pillars of financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship to young people between the ages of 5 and 27 in the state. One of ANGUZ key objectives is to empower the youths of Imo State and indeed the entire south east.

ANGUZ intends to leverage JAN’s unique home-grown programs designed specifically to meet the needs of Nigerian youth. JAN also has access to hundreds of of JA programs and initiatives tried and tested in several countries around the world facing similar issues of developing youths that can compete globally in the 21st century and beyond.
